Quitting is easy. Many throw the towel in as soon as the game becomes real. And many sit in the bleachers judging and talking as though they are the ones out on the court. It takes a champion to learn from mistakes, remain poise and intensify the game when the odds are against them. The hard part is playing till the time runs out on the scoreboard. It ain't over till the buzzer sounds; anything is possible. You won't know how it turns out if you walk off the field even a minute too early. Keep Playing!!!

Tomorrow will always be a part of your history. What you do today determines your past. Do you want to leave a positive footprint on history or a negative one? Your actions (practicing, working hard, never giving up, positive thinking) determine your consequences. Make choices right for you and your history will be one for the records.

Sometimes victory doesn't equate to winning the championship game. Sometimes victory is just showing up, playing with your heart, not giving up and showing the world that you have what it takes to just play the game. 

This is especially true when the team makes it to the playoffs. Every game, whether in regular season or playoffs, should be treated as though it was the last. As in life, nothing is ever guaranteed. Learn from previous mistakes, breath, apply lessons learned, enjoy the ride and in the end play with heart. Don't worry about the next game; the only guarantee you have is the present.  

Would you rather be well-liked or well-thought of? That question you have to answer for yourself. It's one thing to have people want to be in your presence; you may be able to provide them with something that they don't have or you may be someone who they feel is important. It's another thing to be well-thought of. When someone thinks of greatness or a champion or a hero they don't laugh; they shake their head and smile. Respect lasts a lifetime; jokes last a minute.

If you show your opponent your vulnerability they'll charge at it every time trying to break you. Let them see your confidence and they'll show you their weak side enabling you to play your game, not theirs.

The only way to win is if you play as a team. No man is an island. Each person contributes a different attribute to make the team a family. Families do whatever it takes to survive, to win the championship game. Remember what family stands for: Forget About Me I Love You - Rutgers Football

It would be great if Life always presented you with exactly what you heart desired. Though, as we all know, it normally doesn't work out that way. Are you going to run and hide, cry in the corner or are you going to stand up, seek out other opportunities and keep steadfast in your pursuit of success? If Life won't let you in through the front door, enter through the back. There's no one right way to win; find what works for you and stick with it.

Red zone is the point in a wrestling match where there's 20 seconds left on the clock, and it's do or die, sink or swim, pin or get pinned. All your long, hard hours of practice are relected in these 20 seconds. If you live as though you're in the red zone your surely bound to accomplish more than you ever thought was possible.

Whether you're the underdog or not, you should go out in a blaze of glory. Give 110%, act as if you ARE going to win, be confident and remember to have fun. Regrets are hard to live with, but if you know that you gave it your all no one can criticize your effort.
